This 52-week program recognized by the California Department of Public Health, Laboratory Field Services (DHS-LFS) combines classroom learning with hands-on clinical training in molecular diagnostics, preparing you for California licensure and a career in precision medicine.


What you will be trained on:
As a GTC trainee, you will work with cutting-edge technologies like NGS and help interpret clinical samples.
Trainees will work and master crucial laboratory techniques including:
- DNA/RNA nucleic acid isolation techniques
- Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
- Sanger sequencing
- Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) of DNA and RNA
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)
