    Clinical Study Manager/Coordinator

    Qualification Requirements:

    Job Description:

    Oversee the clinical trials testing, maintain pre- and post-testing data, oversee samples collection, processing and storing, communicate information between lab and clinical team or clinical trial principal investigators and managers.  Ensures the clinical study maintains accordance with the protocol, applicable regulations, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements. 

    • Overseeing the trouble-free running of pharmaceutical projects and clinical trials
      Communicating with participants regarding study objectives and progress
    • Liaising with laboratories regarding research findings
    • Monitoring the study to ensure that it complies with protocols and is conducted following appropriate regulatory standards.
    • Maintaining records of study activity and monitors the transport of all specimens, completion of the project and ensuring the transfer of information to finance department for billing.
    • Participates in evaluation of new quality of samples, testing results and collected data and ensures that work is performed to standards set in the research protocol.
    • Maintains information related to laboratory adherence appropriate Laboratory regulations including CAP, CLIA, FDA, GLP, GCP and state regulations.

    Laboratory Manger/Chief Operation Officer

    The Laboratory Director/Chief Operation Officer will have the opportunity to directly impact a clinical, innovation and commercial performance of a dynamic state-of-the-art genomic laboratory that is rapidly growing.  

     

    The Lab Director/COO responsibilities include:

    • Support the CLS laboratory manager and supervisors and oversees day-to-day operations
    • Help the sales and logistics team set up new accounts and ensure a smooth onboarding experience from a lab perspective for our clients
    • Working knowledge in Lab Information Systems (LIS) is required
    • Ensure that all work and testing meet standards set by the lab SOP’s and various regulatory bodies
    • Deep understanding of molecular testing, especially next generation sequencing (NGS) is required
    • Help co-op partner labs with their implementation
    • Provide leadership and take on new projects as needed

     

    Preferred experience

    A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to be successful. The ability to write and submit required documents to regulatory agencies are required.  Familiarity with safety and compliance standards is also required.  Dependent on the expertise the qualified candidate, this position will be classified either as Laboratory Director or Chief Operation Officer.

    Job Summary:

    Works directly with Chief Medical Officer to develop Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) clinical laboratory tests. Oversees Research and Development (R&D) to complete projects in a timely manner. Ensures that new clinical laboratory tests comply with industry standards set forth by CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory bodies. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of NGS workflow including sample preparation, data interpretation and bioinformatics.

    General Accountabilities:

    • Finds and evaluates new NGS reagents, instruments, and analysis tools for use in new and existing clinical laboratory tests
    • Oversees and supervises R&D scientists and personnel
    • Prepares NGS libraries using a variety of commercial reagent kits
    • Generates NGS data using Illumina NovaSeq 6000 and other instruments
    • Writes technical SOPs for new clinical laboratory processes and procedures
    • Analyzes and interprets NGS data using various analysis tools and software

    Job Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Molecular Biology or related discipline
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in either academic or industry molecular research
    • Knowledge in genomics and ability to operate Illumina sequencers is required. 
    • Preferred Experience: NGS library preparation, liquid handling and Illumina sequencing instruments, bioinformatics and NGS data analysis

    Skills:

    • Molecular biology laboratory skills: Nucleic acids extraction, NGS library prep, operation of liquid handling and Illumina sequencing instruments
    • Operation of Illumina NovaSeq 6000 and other instruments
    • Knowledge of genomics
    • Some knowledge and familiarity with bioinformatics analysis tools and software: dragen, bcl2fastq, bwa, Variant Studio, etc.

    Client Services Specialist

    Job Summary

    Job Description:

    Genomic Testing Cooperative (GTC) is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to expand the Bioinformatics and Data Science Team. GTC is a cutting edge advanced next generation sequencing (NGS)-based clinical laboratory with a focus on innovation and advancement of the science of diagnostics.  The successful candidate will be working in a highly multi-disciplinary, multi-task, and fast-paced environment. He/She will be involved in all aspects of NGS workflow, Bioinformatics pipeline management and development, data cleaning and processing, archiving, and server-filesystem administration. He/She is expected to participate actively in improving the operations and workflow in different departments of the company. 

    General Accountabilities:

    • Maintains the Bioinformatics Pipeline and keep it up to date.  Add features and capabilities to improve the quality of the deliveries, and simplify operations.
    • Maintains Laboratory Adherence to industry and government standards regarding handling of data.
    • Maintains Laboratory Adherence Clinical Laboratory regulations including CAP, CLIA and state regulations.
    • Work with other departments to improve operations, data processing workflow.
    • Willingness to learn other aspects of the laboratory operations (Wet lab protocols, accessioning, setup devices and user accounts, archiving data, etc.).
    • Interact and collaborate with external partners in research projects, sequencing services, data processing. Interact with Technical Support from vendors to deal with incidents occurring in the lab in a timely manner.
    • Expected to share knowledge with lab members, and work with a team-oriented mindset.

    Job Qualifications:

    • Minimum Requirements: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Genetics, Physics, or related field, with hands on experiences in NGS data analysis for clinical or research purposes.
    • Minimum 2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Working knowledge in Linux/Windows server administration and maintenance.  Basic knowledge in virtual machines deployment (HyperV and qemu) and filesystems (DELL EMC Isilon) configuration.  Basic knowledge with remote monitoring and management tools such as NinjaRMM, and other tools like Ansible and Puppet.
    • Familiarity with scripting languages in Linux such as BASH, awk, sed, and basic commands in PowerShell in Windows.  
    • Familiarity with Cloud Computing Environment such as AWS, Azure, BaseSpace, etc.
    • Proficiency in one or more Programming/Computing Languages such as R, Python, Rust, Go,Java, Scala, HTML, JavaScript, C/C++, SQL, MySQL, etc.
    • Working knowledge in versioning control (GitHub, GitLab), Task Management tools (JIRA, Monday, Weka).
    • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools for DNA/RNA commonly used in academia and industry such as: FASTQC, SAMtools, BEDtools, Picard, GATK, Nirvana, vcftools, Salmon, etc.  Aligners: dragen, bwa, novoalign, STAR, bowtie, Sentieon.  Variant Callers: dragen, VarDict, GATK, Strelka, VarScan.
    • Familiarity with genomic databases such as NCBI, COSMIC, ClinVar, OMIM, ExAC, etc.
    • Knowledge of Docker, Nextflow, Kubernetes, and GUI development is a plus.

    Position Summary

    The Regional Genomics Manager (RGM) serves as the customer contact for all sales related activities within their assigned region. The target for the RGM  is to grow GTC’s testing in alignment with the sales plan. The RGM is a subject matter expert in NGS with a focus on comprehensive genomic profiling for both heme and solid tumors. The TSM is responsible for driving growth in their assigned region, with a particular emphasis on high growth NGS opportunities such as NGS internalizing, coop membership and the traditional reference lab model. The RGM will be calling on community oncology practices, reference labs and hospitals along with other potential opportunities.

     

    Regional Genomics Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • Achieves annual sales and revenue targets and customer satisfaction within assigned region
    • Promotes co-op business model with a goal of adding co-op members and help labs internalize NGS testing
    • Subject matter expert on Comprehensive Genomic Profiling of DNA and RNA
    • Helps position and differentiate GTC’s testing in the cancer care market
    • Creates strategic territory plan and provides monthly updates on progress towards goal
    • Communicates regularly with all members of assigned GTC support team
    • Responsible for market development activities for solid tumors, heme and liquid biopsy products
    • Account management, in service and training of office staff
    • Provides market feedback on products, competition and market landscape
    • Creates new opportunities, develops sales funnel and closes business as outlined in sales targets
    • Generates ideas that contribute to the region, business unit, company mission and profitability
    • Expense Reporting within guidelines outlined in the company’s Travel & Entertainment Policy

    Lab Associate

    Job Description:

    • Responsible for Preanalytical process in the laboratory including purchasing, inventory and accessioning.  Assists Clinical Laboratory Scientists in the performance of clinical laboratory tests to support patient care.   

    General Accountabilities

    • Performs accessioning of patient samples into the LIS and prepares for extraction processes.
    • Maintains laboratory inventory and is responsible for ordering and monitoring of supplies.

    GTC is looking for a Molecular Clinical Data Reporter and transcriptionist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in transcribing genomic patient data for our medical team to finalize. The reporter will work primarily with our clinical laboratory specialists in the analysis of data and formatting it for final reporting. The successful candidate will be able to take the data and organize it clearly to save our medical team time. This is a support role working onsite in our Irvine office.

    Clinical Data Reporter

    Preferred Experience:

    • Education: Degree in Biology, Health Information Management, or similar field
    • Experience: 3+ years of experience in medical transcription, laboratory accessioning, clinical abstracting, or other healthcare documentation role
    • Certification in medical transcription (CMT) or health information (RHIT or RHIA) preferred but not required

    General Accountabilities

      • Serve in a support role for our lab team to prepare data for our medical team
      • Create detailed records of our genomic data
      • Review reports for accuracy, grammar, and format
      • Correctly use medical abbreviations and medical terminology in documentation
      • Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality according to provider standards and government regulations
      • Review documents for quality assurance and precision, correcting any errors that could impact patient care
      • Create and manage up-to-date references of evolving documentation standards to maintain consistency in quality of work
      • Self-pace completion of daily workload and be aware of turnaround times

    Revenue Cycle Specialist

    Qualification Requirements:

    • Experience: 1+ year of experience in Medical Billing, Customer Service, insurance or healthcare preferred; a background in insurance, appeals, and or medical billing. Knowledge of molecular diagnostics is a plus.

    • PC skills with specific proficiency in Excel.

    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and billing and collections policies in order to facilitate attainment of accounts receivable (AR) targets.

    • Aid in the resolution of identified revenue cycle issues. Actively participates in staff development and assessments to support industry best practice.

    • Coordinate with various functions within the company to ensure client requests are handled appropriately (i.e. within time and budget). Provides direction and leadership within all areas of the billing department including but not limited to reimbursement.

    Job Description:

    Under direction of Revenue Cycle Manager/ Operation, the Revenue Cycle Specialist will perform all job duties associated to collection of accounts. The RCS will interact with patients and insurance companies on a daily basis to follow-up on all outstanding accounts.

    General Accountabilities
    • Audits and corrects all claims on CMS 1500 format
    • Order entry of claims
    • Post payments to patient accounts
    • Review all EOB’s received in the mail that require attention
    • Complete data entry of all patient demographics, guarantor, and insurance information
    • Post procedures and insurance
    • Call insurance companies to resolve billing issues
    • Call for Verification of Benefits
    • File claims to ensure maximum entitled reimbursement
    • Follow up on outstanding claims
    • Ensure all claims are submitted with a goal of zero errors
    • Verify completeness and accuracy of all claims prior to submission
    • Meet all deadlines given
    • Read and interpret insurance explanation of benefits
    • Respond to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and providers
    • Regularly meet with Billing Manager to discuss and resolve reimbursement issues or billing obstacles
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
    • Receiving in bound calls from insurance or patient.
    • Regular research involving both the web and billing systems
