September 29, 2021 12:00 PM EST

Course Description:

This webinar will focus on the challenges facing ethnic and racial minorities, impoverished people and sexual and gender minorities (LGBTQ) and options available to clinicians to improve these patients access to comprehensive biomarker testing and precision medicines.

GTC’s Reducing Cancer Disparity Program provides comprehensive genomic profiling of DNA and RNA to patients with both solid tumors and hematologic neoplasms free of charge. The testing will provide the treating physician and patient with a proper diagnosis, all relevant biomarkers, classification of the tumor, help in determining prognosis, selecting therapy and in developing a strategy for treatment that is specific for the patient. Patients must be nominated for this program by their physicians.

  1. How biomarker testing is advancing precision medicine – Dr. Gutierrez
  2. RNA is the next level in understanding tumor biology – Dr. Guitierrez and Dr. Albitar
  3. What disparities exist in access to testing and options available to clinicians – Dr. Albitar
  4. Underserved patient experience with biomarker testing in NSCLC – LUNGevity.
